Network rules.
These rules apply across The Afterdark Network unless a server-specific rule clearly says otherwise.
1. Respect other players
Harassment, targeted abuse, threats, hate speech, doxxing, impersonation and deliberate attempts to make the community unsafe are not permitted. Keep disagreements focused on the game rather than the person.
2. Play fairly
Do not use hacked clients, cheats, exploits, duplication bugs, unauthorised automation, x-ray tools or other methods that create an unfair advantage. Report serious exploits privately to staff instead of spreading them.
3. Chat, names and content
Usernames, skins, builds, signs, chat messages and shared content must be suitable for the community. Spam, malicious links, scams and attempts to bypass filters are prohibited.
4. Economy and trading
Scamming, payment fraud, real-money trading outside approved store systems and deliberate manipulation of server economies may result in action. Server-specific trading rules may apply.
5. Griefing and world conduct
Follow the protection and claiming rules of the server you are playing. Destructive behaviour intended only to ruin another player’s experience may be actioned even where a plugin technically allows it.
6. Alternate accounts
Alternate accounts must not be used to evade punishments, abuse rewards, manipulate events or bypass progression limits.
7. Staff decisions and appeals
Follow reasonable staff instructions. Do not evade punishments. If you believe an action was incorrect, use the official appeal or support process in Discord instead of disrupting public channels.
8. Server-specific rules
Modded, minigame and event servers may add specific rules. Those rules apply in addition to these network standards.
9. Enforcement
Staff may use warnings, mutes, kicks, temporary bans, permanent bans, resets or other proportionate measures. Serious conduct may be escalated across the network where appropriate.
10. Changes
Rules can be updated as the network develops. Material changes will normally be announced through the website or official Discord.
